The transfer station will be open 8 am to 2 pm on Easter Sunday.

Transfer Station Fee

Transfer Station Passes expire June 30, 2025.

New Transfer Stickers will be available for purchase on June 1, 2025 at the Transfer Station (with a West Greenwich Vehicle Registration) or at the Town Clerk's Office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4 pm, beginning on June 2, 2025

2025 to 2027 Transfer Station Passes are prorated as follows:

  • $100 full cycle sticker - from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027
  • $50 if purchased after July 1, 2026
  • $25 if purchased after January 1, 2027

Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 4 pm.

Summer Hours

Wednesday Evenings from 4 pm to 8 pm Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Passes may be purchased at the Transfer Station if your vehicle is registered to a West Greenwich address, cash or check only.

If you have recently purchased your home or your registration is not a West Greenwich Address, you are required to purchase your pass at the Town Clerk's office weekdays from 8:30 am to 4 pm, cash or check only. Please bring your vehicle registration in with you.

Please see attendant for disposal of the following free items: Mattresses must be clean and dry. Extra fee of $50 if overly soiled or wet.

EWaste Recycle Program

West Greenwich participates in the State Wide Ewaste program. For more information regarding EWaste visit Indie Cycle, LLC Page.

Only residential EWaste is accepted in the state electronic recycling program. Please contact RIRRC for (commercial TVs, monitors and computers are accepted at RIRRC for a fee). You can visit the RIRRC Page for operating hours.

Indie Cycle, LLC accepts many electronic items including computers, laptops, monitors, televisions, routers, PDAs, cell phones, mice, keyboards, printers, toner cartridges, CD/DVD players, radios, cameras, network equipment, wires, stereos, plastic speakers, telephones, microwaves, small household appliances, and acid lead batteries such as auto/marine and APC back-ups.

Special care should be given to handling tube TVs. Any broken cases or TV tubes are considered hazardous waste and are not accepted.

Indie Cycle, LLC does not accept: Light bulbs, household batteries, tapes/disks, glass, broken TV tubes, wooden-boxed speakers, cardboard, rigid plastic, Styrofoam or any hazardous waste materials.

To apply by mail, please submit the following:

  • Copy of vehicle registration (must be a West Greenwich registration)
  • Check made payable to the Town of West Greenwich in the appropriate amount
  • $100 from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027
  • $50 after July 1, 2026
  • $25 after January 1, 2027
  • Self-addressed stamped envelope
