Recorded documents are considered public records.
The office is responsible for recording all deed, mortgages, liens, releases, etc. pertaining to property located in the Town of West Greenwich. All documents presented for recording must be an original or a certified copy. When sending documents by mail please include a self addressed stamped envelope to return the originals to you. The office stops recording at 3:30 p.m.
Copies of these documents can be obtained in the Clerk's office.
- The cost is $1.50 per recorded page
- For a certified copy, the cost is an additional $3.00
When requesting copies by mail, one must include the book and page numbers, a check made out to 'The Town of West Greenwich' and a self addressed stamped envelope to return the documents.
